trekking trip at the southern ridges
met mama and bus-ed down to hortpark.
while waiting for hariani to arrive, we cam-whored at the floral walk.
finally hariani came and she brought her lovely home cooked fried rice with her.
we then had to wait for jess to come but we were hungry so
we went up to the forest walk for tea
us and our food!
while eating, it started to drizzle so mama took out her umbrella and we 3 hid under it for shelter.
as we continued waiting for jess,
the rain got heavier and the umbrella shelter wasn't enough to protect us from the rain,
so i picked up a yellow poncho tt someone had left behind eariler
and placed it over the umbrella.
yay! a bigger shelter.
we hid under it until the rain got TOO BIG
and then decided tt we should 'run' to the nearest bus-stop where jess had arrived and was waiting for us.
went off to vivo to dry off.
we couldn't contine our trekk in that damn weather anyway.
walk ard and had our dinner and walked ard sumore.
finally jess and mama left.
hariani and i decided that we wanted to finish what we had started and went too continue our trekk.
it was bout 9pm when we reached marang trail.
the route was not lit and the moonlight was covered by the trees.
we took out our handphones and used them as torches, up the hill.
climbed an endless flight of steps which amounted to 24 stories high.
when we finally reached the top, we were panting like dogs.
strolled along faber walk, with the breeze agaisnt our face.
it was very refreshing.
passed by jewel box and hoped that one day, someone might bring me there!
saw a crowd infront and we stopped at where they were.
everyone was looking at FIREWORKS!
i guess the hike up 24 stories in the dark was pretty much worth it.
it was sooo romantic, too bad i was the one with her xD
after the fireworks was over,
we made our way to the henderson wave bridge, the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore.
another romantic place to go at night.
next stop was back to the forest walk where we had our tea!
it was dark so we walked on the evelated walkway across the forest where it was safer.
planning to go back another time in the day to trek on soild ground.

our trek ended at the alexandar arch!
we finish out trek within 2 hours but my legs were already screaming,
lack of exercise! =.=
