grandpa (yeye) passed away today at bout 3.08pm at age 88.
he was shitting in a potty in him room when he called me in to help him get up.
i tried helping him up but didn't have enough strength as his legs had totally no strength at all.
i panicked and called baby.
he rushed down to help yeye up. we had to half carry him up for him to wipe his butt. after yeye wiped his butt, i pushed away the potty so that he could walk to his bed. baby was supporting him.
the potty and his bed was only 1.5m away (as stated by the police) but after only taking a few steps, yeye's strength was exhausted and he collapsed. he was only a few cm away from his bed. baby was holding him at that time and we tried to get him into his bed. his body was limp as he was being put into bed. i was freaking out as his was unconscious and his dentures were falling out.
baby asked me to call daddy to come back from church. after i did, i went back into the room to check on yeye. his face looked like he was in pain and was gasping for air. he was pale and looked quite dead.
freaked out more and called daddy again to ask him to call the ambulance.
the paramedics took a whole 12mins to get here. during which i broke down and baby went into shock. when they arrived and checked on yeye, they pronounced him dead.
we had to wait until my parents came back and they the police came for my statement and the relatives started pouring in etc.
i'm just glad that baby was here. if he wasn't, i wouldn't have known what to do at all. i'm thankful for his help and presence, even though he was really shaken by it.
i can even say yeye died in baby's arms. if he didn't freak out, who would?
the whole situation was really really scary. the look on yeye's face when he died, anyone would have known he didn't die peacefully.
hannah's suspected cause of death, heart attack.
the funeral is going to be held at singapore casket, ruby room frm mon to thurs, where he is going to be buried in a cemetary at cck.
